Yep, It does seem unlikely. OP, the sensors have the same part numbers...maybe try swapping the sensors from either side and see if it changes the affected side. You can clean the electrical contacts while your at it. Look for a bent bracket too, but the code pretty much rules out anything like that. Might still end up being the module though.
