Depends on the vehicle, there are some that are dull and a manual just adds a layer of BS to an already unpleasant driving experience. Others that are great with a manual. For a sports car I have always preferred a manual but I have to say that the DCT in my m3 is something completely different. I would put it into a separate category than other BMWs I have had with manual or automatic transmissions.
