If I am remembering correctly, Roadshow BMW here in TN quoted 15hrs labor to do the job. I don’t know if that if for one tech or two. I’m not familiar with how they figure their time.

As for tightening all the bolts, I attempted to tighten all I could see when I noticed the leak. It did not help at all. You can easily tighten all the lower pan bolts but you can only get to a few of the upper pan bolts without removing the lower pan and the front differential.

Since the gasket material has not been updated, I am hoping the updated “locking” fasteners will make it last longer as I would rather not be repeating the process in 60-70k mi!
