Good points and Thank you but based on my research and consultation with the some of the crew here, it makes more sense to get an exclusionary warranty for an X5M even with regular maintenance. Same thing is said by a trusted and highly rated independent BMW shop specifically for an X5M. The deductible is $100. I change my own oil and change minor repairs and have a fairly good sense of how cars work but am not inclined to tackle anything more complex as I would rather have trusted expert do them on an X5M.
