I find that sim racing is beneficial if you have the funds to get a setup that's sturdy, any flex just defeats the purpose, IMHO. My bro spent thousands into his rig because it's a lot cheaper and risk-free compared to going to a track. He can "send" it, he only does iRacing and I can see that he has definitely improved as a driver IRL (we autox and still do track days).
