overpriced speakers, that need much more power (new amps) to really take advantage of. I replaced all my doors and center channel speakers. For the price, I'm not impressed at all.
However, the tweeters alone, made a very positive difference with nothing else changing. I'm sure a simple sub would do the same.
That said, it's all about goals and available budget. The installation of the speakers is easy, and fast for a seasoned person.
If an amp fits for you, it's darn near plug-n-play. Why not?
You really need a small 8" or even 10" sub. Be it a self powered one, or not. It helps round out the overall sound.
Like I said, I was content with their tweeter alone. The factory mids are decent and could use some more power if anything.
