I remember mine, nervous as anything, I hate public speaking even though I'm told I do it well and at my church we gave our testimony prior to being baptized.
But I always loved hearing everyone else's testimonies, so interesting everyone's different backgrounds and how they came to believe in God.

It was a baptism for close friends' baby in a Catholic church with the water sprinkled on head followed by the naming of baby,then a short speech by the father which we couldn't hear much of as tannoy was not switched on.
After the service a photo session outside the church then a short drive to their home where food and drinks were served with a celebratory glass of prossecco at first, there were around 20 of us present and great company.
A glorious day it was so were entertained in their garden as quite hot 27C whew! Just got back not long ago. |
