My 13 x5 m is currently in limp mode. 64k miles with a p0087 code. I hope it is the low pressure fuel sensor and not the pump. Seems like 64k miles is low for a fuel pump to go bad.
Does running fuel system cleaner help clean the fuel filter?
Any advice is appreciated.

It seems it is built into the fuel pump
