Santa brought me an early Christmas gift this morning...a text alert saying that work was closed for the day. I put in for a holiday vacation from tomorrow morning through the end of the year, so I'm not complaining about getting an extra day off as a head start!
It looks like we have just under a foot outside, with a disclaimer that I haven't taken my official ruler outside because the snow isn't level due to overnight drifting on my snow board.
The temperature was about 5 degrees colder last night than forecast, and the snow fell as fine powder and not the heavy/wet stuff that they were expecting to take down trees and power lines. Not that I'm complaining.....
