I have heard it's possible but I have yet to see anyone that has done it that way. The typical way to do it is to change out a small rod on the level sensor. It takes about 10min to change them out. They come with Most lowering kits or you can buy them individually. I can't recall the guy that sells them he was a member on one of the forums but if you google X5 lowering rods I am sure you could find them.
