They use a similar system. If you lift your rubber mat up, where the hook is, you will turn that plastic piece and a velcro piece turns right in to that spot. That is where the carpet mats will attach.
This takes a whole 2min to do for both sides if that... I do it every Fall to Winter...Winter to Spring to change out mats from carpet to rubber and back.
These mats are indeed for black interior.
