The problem is Goodell works for Jerry and all the other owners. He doesn't work for us, the fans, nor the players.
From what I gathered out of all the owners, Craft, Jerry and maybe 2 others owners hold the largest sway in being able to hire or fire the commissioner despite needing most of the owners on board to do anything with the commissioner.
Goodell is in a terrible position such that he needs to apply rule uniformly. I respect the concept, but the manner is incredibly flawed. In Zeke's case, what lesson are you really teaching players? Just don't take your dick out at all? I mean, some women are just fucking crazy and out to get money/fame.
I'm not diminishing the brutal assault committed by Greg Hardy or Ray Rice, but this Zeke situation is absolutely not the same situation.
