Congrats on the purchase. I too have a platinum gray 35d very similarly equipped so I'll be curious to see your progress. I'd highly recommend ordering up painted reflectors and front grills from IND. Definitely cleans up the look especially if you are going for a sleek look.
My understanding is that there is an indention in the door for the moulding so best solution is to paint them.
