I think that on 50i vacuum pump is located in front of the engine, on X5M and X6M, S63 engine, it is located in the back of the engine. With front of the engine location, access to the pump is much better than back of engine location. On mine X6M it is located in the back. As I mentioned earlier, took me a total of 4.5 hours to replace.
