Not a dumb question. As an enthusiasts , software alone assuming a read, edit, and write process should not have any affect on software. With our software the version is never changed so it allows dealers to perform updates as needed (not necessarily so relevant now because these cars are out of productions meaning there are not many updates) but the dealer will still program a car to the most recent version which can still be done meaning no red flags. With 'piggy backs' or modules just use your discretion but for the most part we do not hear any of our clients running into any headaches at the dealer. |
