So.... I got her back after 8 days. They didn't replace the engine, but did the following-

BMW is covering: valve seals, oil separators, turbocharger oil return pipes, return cover and gaskets, rear crankshaft seal and rear engine cover.


They said it was close to $15K in parts and labor. Who knows. I have to say I MISS the power of the V8! I got a 530I as a loaner and was really disappointed. The inside was nice, but I felt it was slow and had some turbo lag. Maybe I am used to driving mine for so long. I am going to stick it out for a while. After driving it today and I remember why I bought it in the first place. Hopefully, she won't give me any problems.
