Winter Road Trip 2019

Trip included San Diego to Las Vegas, Duck Creek Village Utah, Zion National Park (UT), Bryce Canyon (UT), Zebra Slot Canyon (UT), Flagstaff (AZ), Sedona (AZ), and Lake Havasu (AZ).

The X5 is a diesel with some goodies on it including exhaust, tune, intercooler, custom intake, trans tune, and a few other goodies. Haven't dynoed yet but should be ~350whp 550wtq.

Driving around Utah between 3,000 - 8,500ft elevation I was able to get ~650 miles on a tank which is a hand calculated 30.3mpg! I am pleased with this considering the elevation/elevation gains, I had a cargo box strapped to the roof, and I was on a wide 295/40/20 set of Michelin Alpin LA2s which are a great snow tire but terrible for rolling resistance, one of the worst actually.

For those with a keen eye you might notice I retrofitted some Camaro ZL1 wheels. 20x11 square, forged, 28lbs each, made by Alcoa. Far superior to anything BMW offers in 20" sizing.

Love this thing!
Evan
