I'm looking for help finding a DIY tuning package akin to HP Tuners. I've spent several days with several hours each day trying to find an enthusiast/owner tuning solution for the E70M/E71M DME (MSD85.1). And I've come up dry.

Most enthusiast/owner options that I have found do not support that ECU. The closest that I've seen that would work is HEXProg. $700 for the kit, but $1500 license and $350 annual fee. I don't want anything with annual fees. I prefer the VIN credit approach that HP Tuners uses. I.e., pay once per VIN.

There are several professional options but the cost run from $3-6K

Renovelo is the type of kit I'm looking for. I spoke with the owner, Jeff, and he says that the E70 X5M is on his roadmap but won't be supported this calendar year.

Any options that you all are aware would be appreciated.
