So it basically comes down to they love the performance but don't like how it looks. I'm curious what SUV for far less money can match it's performance?
Frankly these critiques get tiresome. The two biggest complaints are style, which is completely subjective, and cargo room, and if that's really important you wouldn't be buying an X5 either you'd be getting a Suburban or a van.
The X6 fits many people perfectly, like me. Regular mid sized SUVs are a bit much and coupes and sedans aren't quite big enough and are more difficult to load and unload. I need something I can comfortably drop the rear seats and throw my bike or backpack in and not worry about clearance on mountain roads or winter driving.
I wish Autocar would print a list of all-wheel drive vehicles with over 550BHP under $100k because I am obviously missing something.
