I purchased mine from a local dealer then took it to the BMW Stealership for a full inspection. Came back with 10'gs worth of fixing. Mine is a 13 with 42k on the clock.
needed front thrust bushings
and had boost leaks so changed all lines and hoses.
also needed tires.

All that being said the labor alone was 6900.
Luckily I have a friend that's a master mechanic at BMW he did everything with parts for a fraction of the cost.
