What equipment does the federal emissions warranty cover
I have a 2013 X5 35d that has the check engine light (CEL) on. I've taken it to midas just to see what codes are being thrown, I don't recall the specific code numbers. I was told it was related to the egr valve and/or egr cooler. I'm told by the dealer that the emissions warranty is valid up to 80K miles and I'm sitting at 77K. Does anyone know if any of the known/typical diesel emissions problems and/or equipment are covered under this warranty?
