Vacuum Controlled Engine Mounts

Hi. Please excuse my incursion from E90Post but a member there suggested I try here.

After 100,000+ miles I'm about to swap my OEM engine mounts (called 'motor mounts' in the US I believe!) for a pair of 034 Motorsports Street Density mounts. These are solid rubber, not oil filled.

My issue is that on close inspection I find my factory-fit mounts are vacuum-controlled. There is a vacuum line linking each mount and a line heading to a vacuum source somewhere in the engine bay.

I'm thinking I can fit blanking plugs to the vacuum lines and then use the solid mounts without issue. Am I wrong? Does anyone have any experience of substituting vacuum mounts with solid? I believe X5 diesels have these. Any advice appreciated.
