Where I live (netherlands) there is also a big stollen culture.
It is eaten with christmas and easter, and virtually always has marzipan in it.
It's called kerststol (at christmas):

Actually the marzipan inside is a more coarse almond paste (also a bit softer). Tastes a little bit more bitter too.
