I had the dreaded 2D2E AND 2D2F pop up again, so I was just verifying my past work... cleaned and taped up the center vent hose section as I am at 138K now, and it was not broken just cracked. Tomorrow I should see if it fixed those codes.
Noticed how badly that ridged hose wears into the aluminum over time, you can see it in these pics, mine is way worse now, so I really have to protect the hose going forward.

In the meantime, I wanted to add that in this DIY, you can simply disconnect the connectors and hose on the bypass valves, and leave them attached to the intake tube, unless it is being replaced as well. Found that out when I had to do that damn coolant tube between the heads.
