Just an educated guess here...my '11 X5M only has one sensor on front and one rear. The pads need to match the caliper and rotor, but have to attach to the caliper, so I would expect to use pads from the year/model that the caliper originates from. This looks nice, but I would be concerned about pads/rotors not matching perfectly from two different models. Less contact area equals less ability to stop.
