Hey to all,

I am new here. Finally I bought my first m3 e46.

Couple, carbon black metallic with brown leather and smg. 95k miles on the odometer and it is in pretty good condition for a 20+ years old car.

Bought it from a bmw dealership in Seattle Washington and got it delivered to me in Los Angeles. It was fully inspected and I arranged the transportation with http://bruxenauto.com. I paid for enclosed transport service and I had no issues.

The car had 3 owners and a folder with most if not all of the services during its life. The rear frame haven't been reinforced and it's still in good shape, hopefully I won't have to deal with this issue later...

I'll post photos soon :happyanim:

Long story short, the actual transmission is sound. Very good feel to it. But it had been so long since I had driven a manual that the rev matching just killed the experience (yes, I know it can be disabled, but we were on a test drive and I didn't want to take the time to stop and turn it off). Seriously, who came up with rev matching? Must be for beginners.

The rest of the car was "meh". Way too cramped inside and lots of rattles (it was a 2025 model with around 6K miles). Just did not feel solidly built.

Of course, the B58 was glorious. Power delivery is great and it's very quick. I even thought the steering was better than my old M2C and also better than my IS 500 (but that's not saying much). Of course it handles on rails. But ride quality is way too rough even in comfort mode. Very similar to my old M2C.

TLDR: It's quick, handles well, and the transmission is great. It's also stunning looking. But too many rattles, and too small and cramped for my liking.

Just when I think I have my forever fleet, I get another itch.

My latest itch has been the Emira.....Contemplating selling the R8 for one.

I know it's probably not financially smart considering the gated R8 is most likley going to be worth more than the Emira when the dust settles, but I think a manual Emira would be an amazing car to have....and have started obsessing over the car the last week or so.

This one hase me seriously considering it....It's like a combo of the original NSX with the driving dynamics mixed with the styling of a 458/488

The 458 has always been one of my all time favorites:love:

someone talk me off the ledge :slap:

Any cars out there that have you thinking about replacing your current one lately???

The Afeela is dead. Sony Honda Mobility, the joint venture between Sony and Honda, slammed the brakes Wednesday on the planned line of electric vehicles as the latter rethinks its wider EV strategy. Earlier this month, Honda revealed that it was expecting a writedown of more than $15 billion in connection with its EV business. Customers who reserved the first Afeelas — at a price of $89,900 and up — will receive full refunds, Sony Honda Mobility said. The first deliveries were slated to land later this year.

11/03/2026
Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG is shifting into the next gear in the realignment of the company and its product portfolio, which began in 2025.

Summary

Porsche AG is accelerating the further development of its product strategy, streamlining its management structure and reducing costs in all areas.
CEO Dr Michael Leiters:

"We are using the current challenges as an opportunity to act even more decisively."

"We will comprehensively reposition Porsche, make the company leaner, faster and the products even more desirable."

"We are considering the expansion of our product portfolio in order to grow in higher-margin segments."

Group sales revenue in 2025 was 36.27 billion euros, operating profit was 413 million euros, and the Group operating return on sales was 1.1 per cent.
Strong financial basis: high net liquidity and a healthy balance sheet give Porsche flexibility and resilience for the tasks ahead.
CFO Dr Jochen Breckner: "The global challenges and the company's realignment impacted earnings in 2025. In 2026, our recalibration measures will continue to have one-off effects on earnings in the high three-digit million euros range. In order to secure adequate margins by Porsche standards in the medium term and strengthen our resilience in the long term, we accept these burdens."

This make me so sad, First we lost Alpina as an independent company now Schnitzer.

They raced E9's and did so much for the BMW brand. Germany (Merkel) shutting down nuke power plants and Germany losing Nordstream has caused totally chaos in Germany with energy prices plus the EU pushing EV.

I know Schnitzer had set up a USA operation in Miami. Sad that all these German companies have to move things out of Germany due to the FU'ed German and EU govt. Any new production goes to USA, Mexico or Hungary because Hungary is still buy cheap energy from Russia.
