Blue Smoke from Exhaust

I found an interesting notation while reading the BMW N63 Engine - Technical Training Workbook (Page 20)

Note: If the exhaust system produces blue smoke, it is necessary to check whether the engine is also drawing oil into the combustion chamber through the crankcase breather, which suggest that there is a fault in the area of the crankcase breather. A clear sign of a problem is an oiled up clean-air pipe.

Not sure if these two related.
N62 is known to have valve seat problems, it produces blue smoke at dile in the cold.

N63 is not yet known to have this problem, at least I have not seen in in BMW forums.

A clogged CCV will produce smoke but it's milder than valve seta leak.

I've a 2010 x5m 45,000 miles, truck started smoking from the right rear muffler to the point where u can't see the truck, only at idle and initial startup, then the left rear, initially I thought it was the turbos, it turned out to be the crankcase vent, if u pull the air filter assy out u can c the turbo intake tubes, if the tubes r filled with oil it's the crankcase vents that r bad, I changed mines, n no more smoke, parts cost was $300,
