I wonder why they compared the new one with the Pre-LCI model of e70? May be LCI models are too perfected, as their marketing strategy always were?

Making the comparison to the Pre LCI model is clever marketing. It makes the old X5 look more dated.
It think its very close when you look at the LCI model.

Though the new interior is miles better.

I thought the same exact thing. And that guy doesn't know crap about cars, he was obviously reciting a script he rehearsed time and time again. Blah! Car is awesome though.

Cut the guy some slack. Obviously he didn't write the narrative. I give the guy credit. There was a serious amount of German-English going on there. The narrative sounds like it was written by a German copywriter, then hastily translated to English, and not given to an editor whose 1st language was English. The result is pretty awkward, but it's not the actor's fault. Blame BMW's market department.

Yeah, that script was weirdly written, like it was written by someone who english is not their first language. He had a couple of strange pronunciations also. Wouldn't be surprised if it was produced by Germans.

Love it, I would consider an x5 again. My e70 35i had a cheap interior and the body fit and finish was sub par. I always loved the power train though.

I'd consider full leather option next time round. The standard package did look cheap.
