Programming recall - XBimmers.com

Brought my x5d in for its first service. SA said there were two recalls to be done. One on the pulley bolt which I received the letter on and one for a program update. Does anyone know what the program update is about? It is a 2012.

My SA said it was emissions related, and would not result in anything noticeable. Paperwork is at home, so can't recall the SIB #. Had the work completed last Thursday, and I can't tell any difference.

I had it done the other day while having the pulley recall. I haven't noticed anything different over 100+ miles of driving. They do these fairly regularly, and they aren't the same as the safety recalls.
