450 USD?!? That's taking the Mick. I was quoted around 1/2 that by a local coach fitter and that included leather trimming in BMW Individual Slate, plus the cost of a lapbelt.
Anyway, a few issues....... 1. In UK the vehicle registration documents (logbook) state 4 seats. If involved in a nasty accident with 5 people in car your insurance could be invalidated. 2. You need to buy a lap belt (about 12 GBP) and fit on to the existing belt fittings. 3. The seat block in the video just slides in - query over crash test safety (ie. would it just slide straight out from under a passenger during emergency stop)? |

Interesting points, I wonder if you ordered the center seat from BMW at the time of order the log book would then state it as a 5 seater.
My need is just to make the rear seats flatter for when I have the rear seat protector in place. |

I stuck with executive 4 seater as it's just me and my golf clubs mostly. The twins can still fit in when needed, and enjoy the additional space/storage for their plethora of toys, drinks and general paraphenalia! ![]() If it's just for levelling off, and will be covered, you could save a small fortune and get a wedge of decent furniture foam in there - http://www.thefoamshop.co.uk/ |
