Is it true that new X6 will be released as soon as 2014? Anyone heard anything like that?!

Likely not going to happen. Way to early. X5 is a 2014 model, so X6 is a 2015.

generally BMW does model upgrade every 7 years which would make it 2015.

New X5 will be a 2014 model released in late 2013.

New X6 will be a 2015 model most likely in late 2014 as well.
