Towing while lowered with X5M
I did a quick search and did not have any luck. I was wondering if anyone has any information on towing a boat or jetskiis when the vehile has been lowered.
Once I get my wheels I would like to lower the X5M just a little and wondered if the self leveling on the X5M would still help out when the boat is hithced up??? Does anyone here have any experiece with this. Have you lowered your vehicle and towed??? TIA |

If you tow properly, and distribute the weight correctly, I would say no issue. Especially with the skis. They don't weight much. Plus rear self leveling is still self leveling.

Thats kinda what I was thinking. Thanks guys. I am pulling a boat, but it would be twice a year and just for a short distance. Maybe 5 miles Max. The boat weighs 5200lbs which is under the towing capacity of the X5M.
I am just curious if I go with H&R springs (1.2") or KW v3's if it would rub when I hitch it up. Guess I'll find out his summer. |
