The main reason is because of competing product lines for the pure (original) gasoline M engines.

From a business perspective, this makes sense, eh... Just take the emotion out it.

Nice car! . I think you have individual leather, how do your door sills look like, do they say "individual" on them, or M50d is written?

Sills have M50d on them. Yes it's the slate leather option.
They are the optional Adaptive LED lights.

I prefer the LEDs (they are called Adaptive LED headlights over here, maybe know as full LED your side?) over the 2011 Xenon equivalent in my old X640d. Very clean crisp light and doesn't dazzle oncoming cars on tight twisty roads which is always good.

Of course, the 'proper' side of the road is the left one - but then again you probably spend a lot of your time over on the left anyway, overtaking lesser cars ;-)
