cracked rim! wtf
so i drop off my 2 week old, new to me 09 48i msport this am to get the conti all seasons put on and im told my rear passenger rim has 2 cracks in it. i just purchased this truck 2 weeks ago as a cpo vehicle. it has 37000 miles, but i havent even put 1000 miles on it yet. whats the odds the dealer will take care of me?
the rear tires were replaced right before the previous owner turned it in from his lease. so they had about 1000 miles on them, the dealer put on front tires, serviced it and i picked it up. i had to wait a few days for some of the wheels to be refinished b/c they were kind of "chewed up" by the previous owner. i called my salesman, emailed him some pics, and now im waiting for a response back. hopefully they will not leave me hanging on this as im positive the cracks had to be there when i bought the truck.. to be continued Last edited by mik; 11-02-2012 at 01:31 PM. |

How bad is "chewed up"? Maybe use that as a starting point. They may have missed it when they cleaned them up?? Good luck.

i had a hairline crack in a very odd place on my style 214s 6 months after owning the car. Thank goodness I am very careful when i park and there was not a scratch on it. Despite every effort for them to pin it on me, they covered it fully as the wheel was flawless. It took them over a week for BMW canada to give them the green light.
