iOS 6.0.1 - No Fix for Messages on iDrive

I just installed iOS 6.0.1 on my iPhone 5. It doesn't seem to fix anything for receiving emails through iDrive--which sucks. I even tried deleting the phone and re-pairing through bluetooth. If anyone else has better luck, please let me know. Thanks.

Did you update the Bluetooth software with the new one?

Tried shutting on/off your phone? I had issues getting it to work on iPhone 4 and it works now, I do not need to mess with "show notifications" anyways, it works. What did the trick for me is after doing all of the steps, I shut of my phone and the turned it on again.

It used to be even simpler -- just go to bmw.com/update, select your country and enter your VIN number. Now with the new address, there's no need to select country but entering my VIN says it's not right -- I'm reading it off the registration papers, it used to work and I managed to get updates up to 1006, but now no luck.

Anybody know this is just temporary (a bug!) or it affects older cars only (mine is production date 04-2011)?
