2002 X5 Radio head unit swap?????? - XBimmers.com

I have the rear mounted cdc/gps/dvd/radio but my head unit (cassette type) gave up the ghost. I bought an online unit with all the features but none of the plugs match my alpine sourced unit. So I bought a used original head unit. The radio works, but the screen does not display any data. The screen lights up though. When I check in the back, the navigation unit power light is not lite...any ideas?

Might of been defected, or did you check the harness.
