problem is he's not a QB/pass oriented coach, Cutler will be most likely under used for his ability. I really hope somebody good replaces Shane Day as QB coach too.

I dunno, I think Cutler would be pretty effective if there was a solid running game. Shit, you could have a terrible QB and if your running game and D are stout enough, you can still win a Super Bowl (see: Trent Dilfer).

obviously, my point is that with that kind of offense you'd be under using Cutlers skill (consider what was given up for him to come here). Thats not to say a healthy run game won't open up the pass for him I'm just wondering about the actual system thats put in place, is he gonna be throwing 15-20 check downs to the RB per game again to mask the fact we don't have a #1 WR.

solid running game, no more 5-7 step drops...seems like a good situation IMO..

what i don't agree with is they are looking for a "passing coach" It's obvious they don't have enough faith in Tice to handle it solely, but I guess the powers that be would rather promote Tice,, have less "shock" to the system, add a passing coach to maximize the small window they have to make it to the 16+ games next season....
