Ordering my first x6 today!

Finally got the courage to order it, wanted to avoid additional changes that BMW will make, but realized they keep making them all the time, so no point in waiting. If facelift does come in Sept 2011 as some have speculated, will go to the dealer and do smthg stupid (they promised me no facelift until Oct 2012). Still took some of the April 2011 options, like "Apps" which when you plug in an iphone (still do not have one) you can among other things (facebook, twitter) listen to the web radio (all functions available through idrive controller).

I am just a few days from getting hands on mine. About that I would like to ask you a question or two, and I can't send any PM's yet (freshly joined the forum)...

Did you order it through a local Croatian dealer (Tomić)?

Thanks for your wishes! Should arrive some time in June-July 2011. Ordered it through BMW dealer in Austria. Make sure you post some photos when you get yours!

I see, from your nickname I assumed that you're in Croatia.
So your baby should be ready for some summertime driving, nice!

I was concerned about the facelift of X6 as well as new one coming out, because that's what tends to happen to me when I buy a car. I have a friend in Munich working at BMW Headquarters and I got a word from him that no new version will be coming out at least until 2013.

He also stated that there MIGHT be a MINOR facelift in 2012, but that's still uncertain and will depend heavily on sales in 2011. So there you go, hope that puts your mind at ease...

Croatian,good news!

You are going to be happy...please order adaptive drive,its totally different car!

For exterior order 20 or 21 inches alloys,my favorite is 215 ferric gray or performance 375...also order performance package,car look amazing!

Aw thanks! Not many on there at the moment, I'm halfway through drawing a Noble and an Atom at the moment. I need to Draw my Baby next! Any ideas on how to colour white? May do her in black and white.

I don't know, maybe do it on colored paper (black for instance). But don't listen to me, my artistic talent and feeling is non-existant.

But sure give me a shout when you're done, I would very much like to see how you've done!

Been thinking about upgrading the wheels to a bigger size all day (mine are 19inch star spoke 258 mixed tyres that come with the sport activity package). Originally I wanted to get 275 doppelspeiche, however, they are only available separately from the car and they cost about 5,000 with tires.

Unfort after the dealer hit me with that price tag (which would mean that even if I got them I would have to get adapative drive because of the size of the wheels which was another few thousand) So I had to prioritize, which basically means that I HAD TO prioritize so big ass wheels and performance parts were put aside for a while, still I did order a 40d with quite some extras.
