There's an older x5 that lives near me that has an m5 badge on it.

Best was when a young kid with his girlfriend pulled up next to me on the freeway in his "x3m" and started trying to race me. I unleashed the beast on him and the look on his face was priceless. Even better was I could see his girlfriend laughing at him.

I do not understand M badges on non-M cars. Think about it:
People who don't know what ///M is, will not care. People who do know, will laugh.

Aren't those tips for V8s? So that ad is all sorts of wrong regardless. People are so dumb.

OT: I met a guy who said he bought an AMG. I am like that's not an AMG but he said it looks exactly like my CLS55 but with AMG package. I showed him my engine vs. his, he was really upset he got "ripped off"

This is a very, very, very long thread over at M5Board on this topic. There's some good ones in here.

Well... mine was debadged at first, but now I'm running a black X5M badge.

Gixxer is no longer trying to be subtle.

I had a kid in an E46 M3 yell at me at a light. He said you can't just stick an m badge on any BMW. I promptly showed he what the fat girl is capable of.
