K&N Air Intake Filter Question
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/K-N-A...ht_2490wt_1167
Will that filter do anything to my 2010 BMW X6 50i? I just got the car a couple of days ago, haven't modded anything yet. Will this do anything in terms of adding HP or helping with MPG? |

Adding just a filter to the existing intake box won't gain you anything significant since you won't be removing any significant restriction from the intake system. However, if you remove the box and use a K&N (or other brand) open cone filter, then you'll be gaining hp & mpg. Even with that, it won't be more than 10 hp and 1 mpg. I'm not saying it's not worth it though. I'd be getting an intake kit right away if there was one available
