BMW X3 keeps on testing in the snowy white north..

More of the same. BMW continues testing the X3 but doesn't yet want to pull of anymore camo so once again we see the black and white psychadelic camo and not much else. Like the X1, the proportions look good and this should end up as a very nice upgrade to the current X3 when the car is finally released.

Well it must be a world away, because I've been offered a early-out-release to try and save me from jumping ship from the brand.

Looks nice. Are there any rumors of when is expected to be released in EU and US?

This thing is a ways away still for the US. It will launch in the EU before the US, much like the recently announced Countryman from MINI. BMW wants to get the bugs out before it hits the US and they are over testing it as it will share much of the technology and systems with the F30 3er said to launch in Spring of 2012. The X3 will be here early 2011 if things continue along as planned.

This doesn't make much sense. The new X3 is made in the U.S. and it's primary market is North America. Why would it be released in Europe first? Now the introduction of the X1 is being delayed for a logical reason. BMW does not want current X3 owners jumping to a cheaper model.

The x1 is hitting Europe first, not the x3 - as posted above, the x3s primary market in North America, why ship it all the way to Europe first?

Cool New X3 available

Per Autocar (UK eq of Autoweek) the new X3 is scheduled for October 2010. It has moved there from March 2010 at the end of 2009. I am waiting for a new one - Charlene-, but may need to buy a different SUV if the delays continue.

It will be out 3rd quarter of this year...

It was moved from the 1st quarter to the 3 quarter because of production reasons only!

The end result should be worth the wait. The new X3 is built on the same chassis as the new F30 3 Series. I'd rather they do it this way than using the old technology - the current X3 is built on the E46 platform.

I still have a MY2004 X3 with a Feb2004 build date, I picked it up in Munich ED before the X3's were available in the US. I have had 2 other X3s a 2006 ED and a 2008 ED. I still have the 2006, both the 04 and 06 have the 5 speed transmission and are great cars. As for the 2008, gone but not forgotten. I will only get a new X3 if it has the ZF box which I have in my 335IX, so I might be forced to wait for the higher powered version. I also have experienced the content creep of X3's where my 2008 was less expensive with much more equipment than the 2004. Same thing happend to me with the first MY V8 ML, subsequent MY's had more equipment standard for the same price.
