Sounds strange. What type of iPod are you using? I have a Nano which works perfectly and shows all playlists and artists/titles. I did have a 2nd Generation iPod which did not work however..... I'm assuming you are using the BMW supplied 'Y Cable'? Also - are you using English (or at least the same) menu's on both the iDrive and the iPod?

Ask your dealer for the Y-Cable as I don't think it comes standard in Saudi Arabia. If they don't have it just buy it online; part number is 61120440796.

A standard USB cable will give you direct access to the files on the iPod/iPhone. Basically, the iPod/iPhone looks to the iDrive system as if it was a memory storage device (the same as a USB memory stick). If you use the Y cable, the little 'black' box in the cable converts the iDrive control commands sent via the USB interface into serial data to control the iPod/iPhone.

You got your truck when oil was still $75. As oil goes up, BMW takes more parts of the X6's destine for the middle east. ![]()

ipod on x6
I have my iPod video, connected to my car via the cable the dealer installed. I can control the ipod thru the iDrive system, but it does it as if it was the 6-disc changer, cd2 gets me the artist list but it only displays 25% of the whole list I have. On the center console it doesn´t have a USB interface. How can I view and listen to all my artist?
