X5 35d Dyno results
Went to a dyno day on Saturday at FSR.
4th gear runs Put down 229.85 hp @ 3461 RPM (73 MPH) 392.31 ft lbs @ 1901 RPM (39 MPH) Was 94F so I got some heat soak on the second run, let it cool off and ran the last pass. The Tq readings are from calculations based on the HP rating and corrected speed. we weren't able to get the optical pickup set up and we didnt know what wire to tap for RPM to get the TQ reading. Plug this info into several calculators and you get the same numbers the dyno would give. 4th gear ratio 1.14 axle ratio 3.64 tire height 28.6 corrected speed ~ 3% @ 70mph due to BMW making the speedo run fast. Pretty close to the baseline numbers on my 335d. I think I was at 237hp (different dyno and/or different weather conditions). I did a second run with a JBD piggyback and made an additional 55 rwhp
