5300 lbs? WTF? For a lower, sportier, smaller coupe style SUV they sure missed the weight goal by 600 pounds. This thing should be closer to x3 weight than x5 weight. Damn you BMW!

That would be a trick worthy of the finest alchemist bearing in mind its the same size as the X5 and uses the same basic chassis. Unless they made it from carbon fibre and removed all the luxuries, it weighs exactly what you should expect it to.

I have an X3 and a Cayenne S. The Cayenne absolutely outpowers the X3 but the X3 is much lighter on its feet. I was hoping the X6 would in the middle, the best of all worlds, I won't write it off yet. |

If they did that it would not have been produced. They are NOT making a lot of x6's and by using a current platform they could produce the X6. It would be way to much $$$$ if they did anything else. The X5 and Cayenne are the 2best suvs in the market IMO. I sold porsche and currently sell BMW. The Cayenne is really a great vehicle. The X6 should be a nice alternative to the Porsche. I do espically like the Cayenne GTS with the 6 speed manual. If I had a ton of money and needed an SUV I would have a deposit on that car right now.
