Item Interest
Powerful V-8 w/ sport-programmed, adaptable automatic transmission, sport suspension, high-performance 20-inch wheels & tires. BMW's Park Distance Control, 12-speaker stereo, HID Xenon headlights. equipped w/ a 340-hp powerplant. Compression has been bumped up from 10.2:1 (4.4L) to 10.5:1. Bore & stroke have been increased, as has torque, to 350 lb-ft at 3700 rpm. The final-drive ratio has been lowered to 3.91:1. 0-60-mph runs in 6.20 sec. Top speed is electronically limited to 150 mph w/ the standard 20-in. rolling stock. *The shift programming has been revised from the 4.4i; the 4.6is' "normal" setting is equivalent to the Sport setting in the 4.4i, while the Sport setting in the 4.6is is even more enthusiastic. The Steptronic five-speed automatic has the intuitive manual shift pattern as used in a race car's sequential transmission, where pulling the lever back grabs the next higher gear. The 4.6is employs a speed-sensitive rack-&-pinion-steering system, differing from the engine-speed-sensitive setup used for 3.0i or 4.4i.

Road feel is excellent. Directional transitions predicable w/ good feedback transmitted through the steering wheel. Dynamic Stability Control, Automatic Differential Brake,Dynamic Brake Control & Hill Descent Control. All available upgrades were added with purchase price of $73,063. This is a well cared for, 2 owner X5. Any & all maintenance items throughout its short life have always been taken care of. No expense has been spared keeping this X5 performing as the engineers from BMW intended. That being said, here are a few items worth mentioning: Nav screen damage: 2 inch by ¼ inch defect-still functional & readable. passenger side mirror tilt issue during reverse. light surface scratches on hood near the vents. shallow scratch on rear seats. slight curb scrapes on wheels. 1 small chip on front bumper & 2 small chips on back bumper. see 50 pictures at this link http://s1082.photobucket.com/albums/...daclark4/BMWX5
