Petition for no front plate in NJ

I've tried this in California and didn't get anywhere, now I just tell the dealer don't put on the front plate holder when I order the car. If I get stopped it's a fixit ticket (only happened once and then I was stopped for speeding and this was added on. tie wrapped it on , got it signed off then cut tie wraps and put plate back on garage shelf).
I agree this is stupid and the states are broke so it would save them money. Good luck.

Dream on. Every police force on the continent is lobbying for front plates to be mandatory if only because they make such a perfect aiming spot for speed laser. Here in Alberta we haven't had front plates for years, but the police lobbying is so intense that we are likely to get them again even though over 75% of the population is opposed.

The front plate is not going away. In most states, there are now traffic cams that need to read the plate.
