lights between speedo and tach - definition ?
I was looking through the manual but I can't find a page that defines the lights between the speedometer and the tach. These are the ones that come on briefly every time you start the car. I know that the high tech idrive will warn me of imminent melt down but in case one of them ever comes on would like to know what it means. Some are obvious others are not ( there's one that looks like an engine). any ideas ?

The engine pictogram is for serious engine problems. It typically comes on -- together with some message on the MID -- when there is something wrong such as low oil or loss of oil pressure. Rule of thumb: if it comes on while you are driving, pull over and switch off to avoid serious internal engine damage or until you know there is just a minor issue.
I don't know what other pictograms the X6 has, so I can't help with them. |
