I think that with certain color combinations, the roof rails look OK. I decided against the roof rails. I'm with shenard, it takes away from the sleekness of the coupe look.

I'm in the minority then because I think they would look fine, especially when loaded with skis or bikes or a kayak....

I've got alot of X6 pic's w/ roof rails.I've posted the pic's on some threads here that mentioned the same question.I'm more than glad to repost if you guys can't find the original threads or there are not many owners with roof rails.I just saw for the first time yesterday a beautiful Black 50i w/ roof rails around the area where I live.Didn't pursue because did not figure much interest in Black 50i w/ roof rails.If somebody really wants to see those pic's I can probably find the car.Thanks! A man (aka Palbay in certain circles) equipped with a digital camera and running shoes was arrested for stalking a beautiful black 50i with roof rails...

It's always nice too see pictures of different cars, color combination and options. I wouldn't mind seeing a picture of a black 50i with the roof rails, but you don't have to go out of your way to get it!

Did the car have black or silver roof rails?

Yes i remember that you have posted pics of black with roof rail,but i couldnot find it.

The roofrails can be added at any time, so it is not essential you order it from the start..
The black rails are really ugly, looking very plastic-alike
