Deda, we might never use some extra 20 HP!! Which we get only at redline at top speed. . These small differences might have been concerning for us if we rode X6 against Series 7 on a race track in international races. . Ducati desmosedici is the most powerful bike in MotoGP (aprox. 230 HP) . . but Casey Stoner didn't win everytime, and Marco Melandri had a disastruous year. . It's up to the pilot to make the difference. It's cool to fantasize about the top HP and top torque. .but on a day to day basis, we barely use 40% of the engine power.

Engine choices should be no surprise. BMW has had a lot of engine choices for many years.

Not all engines will be available in all areas.

I don't see anything I should be upset about. Car configurations/options change all the time.

In the end, it is just a car and not worth fretting over.

Deda,
I don't think 20 HP is that big of a deal, wouldn't worry about it.

Where did you get these information from? I haven't seen it anywhere else on the internet...

The 45d really looks amazing - 3 liter, 354hp/700NM... Seeing as people remap the current 35d's to those levels, I'm guessing a 45d will be getting something like 400hp/850NM when remapped...

And this looks quite weird - 30i 3.0 R6 286 HP 400Nm
It's got the HP of an N/A engine, but a 3 liter N/A engine can't have 400 NM.
Is it a detuned 3.0i twinturbo?
