Here is my rough itinerary. Any feedback is great appreciated!!

Buy 7 day JR pass. We'll have 12 days there.

Days 1-4: fly into Haneda, train to Tokyo. Spend a few days checking oit Tokyo and a day trip to Nikko?

Days 5-8: Activate JR pass and head to Kyoto. Spend a few days there and do a day trip to Nara.

Days 9-11: Hokkaido? Osaka?

Head back to Tokyo and fly home.

I will make my way to all 7 continents eventually. Would like to eventually go to Kenya, do the safari/savannah in Africa and also Egypt. For now, it is Japan.

Truthfully, your agenda looks awesome to me (would probably pick Hokkaido over Osaka). I will let people with good Japan knowledge weigh in, but that looks great. I'm jelly.

Skip Osaka, nothing too special there. Go to Hokkaido.

The Antarctic is worth seeing. You should work there for the full year. Not just during peak season. Gorgeous down there

Only an uneducated individual would compare two areas that are so vastly different with a simple questions as; "which do you prefer to travel to?"

Europe for sure.
And I believe I told you that but ultimately I don't think our opinions helped you.

Am I the only one who read that he is now in Japan?

OP - update your post with information because people will only read page 1 and respond to that which is pretty pointless given the fact that you are already in the land of the rising sun.

You went at 4am and there was a 4 hour wait? or 4pm? 4pm would be crazy ...

I'm pretty sure it's 4am.

I went to Japan early this year and I loved it. Was lucky enough to go when a couple of large car events was happening so I got to check out the Tokyo Auto Salon as well as the Fresh Tokyo Meet hosted by Super Street.

Yeah. We went at 4 AM. Got to our place a little before 8 PM after we landed, walked around the neighborhood for a bit, grabbed dinner and went to bed around 10:30. I was up at 2. Woke the gf up at 3 and Uber since public transportation doesn't open until at least 4-5. Thought it was maybe a 2 hr wait since we got there at 4 AM. But no...people lined up at 2:30. Met some people from the states and just chatted with them to pass the time. A little more than 4 hr wait.

Basicaly went out from 3 AM to about 10 PM. Tired as hell last night.

Gf has international plan so we use her phone for when we need GPS. We got PASMO cards and have been using it for transportation. We bought JR passes and will activate them when we go to Nikko in a few days.

Glad you had fun on your trip earlier this year!
